Writing Statistics
The Writing Statistics dashboard gives you a quick overview of your notes library and tracks how consistently you write.
Pro Feature
Writing Statistics requires the NuvoPad Pro upgrade ($9.99 one-time payment). Free users will see an upgrade prompt when accessing this feature.
Open the Dashboard
There are two ways to open the Writing Statistics dashboard:
- Sidebar — click the Statistics item in the left navigation sidebar (bar-chart icon).
- Command Palette — open the command palette (Ctrl+P) and search for Writing Statistics.
Available Metrics
| Metric | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Total Notes | Number of notes currently in NuvoPad (including Inbox notes, excluding Trash). |
| Total Words | Aggregate word count across all notes. |
| Total Tags | Number of unique tags defined in your library. |
| Total Notebooks | Number of notebooks, including nested children at any depth. |
| Days Active | Number of distinct calendar days on which at least one note was created or edited. |
